During Christian Aid week we can bring hope to those most in need by making a donation, no matter how small. If you receive an envelope through your door, you are very welcome to return it by popping it through the letterbox at Cross House, or you can access the Linlithgow area e-envelope to give online here
Fundraising Initiatives
Following on from our Crown of Thorns fundraising we are now embarking on a further two initiatives. This article appeared in our community magazine, The Black Bitch.

Great progress is being made in working out proposals for bringing together our four churches – Avonbridge, St Michael’s, St Ninian’s Craigmailen and Torphichen Kirk – into one united parish by the end of this year. The fundamental plan is for all current places of worship to continue, with a ministry team of Liam plus another full-time minister and Thom along with another ordained local minister. But there are 1001 other details to put in place.
Along with this month’s Crosswind magazine, district elders and visitors are distributing a Q&A update on the proposals and how we will all get to have a say. You can also access the update here.
PLEASE NOTE THAT RECORDINGS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE UP TO 7 DAYS AFTER THE EVENT.

Maintenance of our buildings
With a view to fast tracking maintenance and repair issues to all church properties, an email address, maintenance@stmichaels-parish.org.uk has been set up which will allow elders and members of the congregation to alert the Property Team of any issues requiring attention. A member of the team will monitor this email address from their personal laptop and pass the information to the appropriate team member for action.
To advise of a repair or maintenance issue, click on the email address and provide the following basic information to action an investigation or repair.
Which building is the issue in?
Where in the building is the problem?
Brief description of the problem.
Reported by and date the issue was discovered.
A reply response will be generated confirming that we are in receipt of the email, which is receiving the attention of the Property Team.
You might be wondering how you can support financially the work of St Michael’s and the wider Church of Scotland.
Those members who currently give through the Free Will Offering Scheme and who cannot hand in their envelopes might wish to consider one of the following options:
· You could set up a monthly standing order for regular giving – please contact either Tim Brown on finance@stmichaels-parish.org.uk or Andrew Jones on giving@stmichaels-parish.org.uk and either Tim or Andrew will be able to send you a standing order form and advise on Gift Aid
· You could make a one-off payment using the Stewardship button below
· You could continue to set aside your weekly gifts and contact your Elder who would be happy to help you.
Gift Aid
Did you know that the church can claim 25p for every £ given if the donor is a UK taxpayer and signs a Gift Aid declaration? This is true whether payments are made by regular standing order, via freewill envelopes, or by other identifiable means. For more information, or to set up/amend an existing arrangement please contact the Gift Aid Convener in confidence - Andrew Jones – at giving@stmichaels-parish.org.uk or on 01506 840914.
Data Protection
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect in the UK on 25 May 2018. It replaces the existing law on data protection (the Data Protection Act 1998) and gives individuals more rights and protections with regard to how their personal data is used by organisations.
