The Music of St Michael's
Organ, Choirs and Family Band

St Michael's offers a rich diet of music in praise of God within its various forms of worship.

St Michael's Choir sing at the 11.00am service each Sunday from September to May.

The Junior Choir, comprising mainly of Primary School children, add the grace of young voices to occasional services.

During the summer months (June to August), the Family Band, comprising of adults and children, lead the worship at the 9.30am service. They also reform to play at the All-Age Commiunion Services and on other special occasions.

The Willis organ, which was installed in 2001, was formerly in Queen Ethelburga's College in Harrogate. It was completely overhauled and rebuilt by the firm of Matthew Copley of Surrey. (A history and technical detail is available here.)

We sing from the new Church Hymnary CH4. These hymns and songs are also augmented by our Worship Song Book during the Summer Family Worship services.

From time to time, our services are further enhanced by visiting choirs or musicians.

Whatever your taste of spiritual music, you are sure to find something to suit you within our worship services.
